As an entrepreneur, executive and/or personal assistant everyday you are called upon to serve and give your very best, but in all truth you cannot give your best if you are not ‘financially well’.
Good day 2018! It’s a brand New Year and we are officially twenty (20) days into this blessed year! I’m really excited because a New Year means new roads to travel down and many opportunities to create awesome goals for you, your family and your amazing career as an Entrepreneur, Executive/Personal and/or Virtual Assistant. This year and beyond Personal Assistant Magazine.com is focus on inspiring and encouraging you to live your Best Life and to become emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically, and financially well!
As an entrepreneur, executive, personal and/or virtual assistant everyday you are called upon to serve and give your very best to your boss or clients, but in all truth you cannot give your best if you are not ‘financially well’. Personal Assistant Magazine.com knows that becoming ‘financially well’ is a process but today you have to decide what type of financial building you would like to BUILD and LIVE in. Many entrepreneurs, EPA’s and VA’s often spend a great deal of time handling expense reports, paying bills and coordinating financial and credit matters for their executive/celebrity bosses and clients’ while neglecting their own financial needs.
These last several years I decided to dig up all of the financial mishaps I had planted and allowed to grow within the walls of my financial garden. As a result of focusing on my finances, I eliminated my debt collections, increased my credit score to above 750 and I reached my savings goal for 2017. I still owe a lot of money on my student loans but I AM CREATING a plan to payoff my student loan debts as quickly as possible. I AM LEARNING so much about the thoughts and fears I held concerning money and I AM releasing all of those concerns. I AM planting an abundance of financial seeds to produce a strong, vibrant, prosperous and ever growing wealthy garden.
The goals for the month of January is to create a budget, pull your three (3) credit reports for free and reset your spending so you may get a clear vision of where you are financially. Sometimes this process may feel painful but in order to asses where you are you need to get a clear picture of what your credit and finances look like. The blessing in this is that your credit and finances will not stay the same because your mindset about money, saving and paying off your debt will change.
If you have not already done so now is the time to create a budget for your household expenses. Creating your budget for the month, quarter or even year will help you determine how much extra money you have to put aside towards savings and/or paying off your debts. You don’t have to start big, you just have to start!
Next, if you have access to a desktop computer you can pull and print your three (3) credit reports, Experian, TransUnion and Equifax for free from www.Annualcreditreport.com. Federal law allows you to get a free copy of your credit report every 12 months from each credit reporting company. Reviewing your credit report yearly ensures that the information on all of your credit reports is correct and up to date. Also, if you want to monitor your credit report and score you can sign up for free at creditkarma.com and experian.com. Please make sure that you check each website before inputting personal and confidential information.
Last, reset your spending. Now that the holidays are over think about how much you may want to save in the month of January and beyond. Can you afford to set aside 10% of your net pay. If not, start with 1% of your gross income. Go to your bank accounts and write down your balances and write down a balance amount that you would like to see in your savings account by the end of 2018. Have faith that you will be able to save the amount that you write down and even more. If you would like to save $1000 dollars by the end of 2018, write that down and work on saving $83.33 a month. If you can afford to save more then save more.
Building a solid and prosperous financial future involves you being patient with your current financial status and consistent with saving for your future and paying off your bills. Building wealth won’t happen over night but IT WILL HAPPEN over time.
I AM BECOMING FINANCIALLY WELL, I AM LIVING MY BEST LIFE, I AM planting an abundance of financial seeds to produce a strong, vibrant, prosperous and ever growing wealthy garden. I AM BUILDING WEALTHY SAVINGS. I AM LOOKING FORWARD, I AM PRESSING TOWARDS FINANCIAL FREEDOM. I AM ENCOURAGED, I AM EXCITED about my PRESENT and FUTURE, I AM DEBT FREE and moving towards my GREATER PURPOSE.
